The Role

We are currently seeking to appoint a Financial Accountant to take responsibility for the preparation of robust and accurate financial information for the SE Asia region (including Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand), to ensure financial transaction accuracy and to support the delivery of management reports and statutory accounts to key stakeholders.

Your role will include oversight and management of the following key areas:

• • EOM processing, including reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, provisions, accruals, and inter-company allocations
  • Preparation of monthly reports including sales reports, profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow and other reports as required
  • Preparation of GST/VAT, Payroll Tax returns and Withholding Tax returns
  • Coordinate budget process including preparation of templates, driving review meetings and reporting to management
  • Work closely with external accountants/advisors to prepare year end work papers for statutory reporting and income tax lodgement
  • Coordinate corporate secretarial requirements and lodgements
  • Prepare annual reporting information for external banks and insurance providers
  • Assist with the establishment of regional offices as required
  • Facilitate financial audits as required
  • Maintenance of strong internal controls

 

What we are looking for

You will have a solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices as well as strong technical accounting skills, including current knowledge of accounting standards and relevant tax and statutory legislation.

You will be a strong collaborator and have exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organisation. In addition you will have:

• • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Commerce, Accounting, Business or other associated disciplines
  • CA or CPA qualified
  • Demonstrable commercial experience as a Financial Accountant
  • Strong technical accounting skills including current knowledge of SE Asia accounting standards and relevant tax and statutory legislation/requirements
  • A strong understanding of compliance and controls
  • Exposure to ERP (NetSuite preferred) and intermediate to advanced Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • A highly analytical approach to problem solving
  • A ‘can do’ attitude
